Euphorbia myrsinites is an attractive low growing succulent evergreen perennial. It has sprawling stout stems growing up to 16" inches long. The leaves are spirally arranged, fleshy, pale glaucous bluish-green, up to 1" inch long. The flowers and their subtending bracts are initially greenish-yellow but deepen to a red hue by summer. Looks great in a container or rock garden. This hardy plant is tolerant of very cold winter temperatures (to as low as -20F), summer heat and little irrigation but requires well-draining soils.
