Also know as "Devils Trumpet". Spectacular, extremely fragrant, upward facing 5-6 inch double and triple ruffled blooms are swirled in rich purple. The well-branched plants with striking black stems can reach up to 5 feet tall in areas with warm nights, in cooler areas they top out at about 2 feet. Blooms from midsummer until frost. Perfect for containers and indoors.
Datura metel is a shrub-like annual (zone 5–7) or shrubby perennial (zone 8–10).
