This stunning perennial (Hardy to zone 7) Hibiscus is a native of China, but performs wonderfully in the the southern US. Hibiscus mutabilis has 'mutant' blooms in the fall, meaning the blooms change color as they age. Starting off white, they change to a light pink then dark pink as the day goes on. You can, at times, have all three colors on your bush at once which is really an awesome sight!
Showiest as a free standing specimen with no competition from other shrubs or trees. Will flower from seed the first year if started very early in Spring.
