This beautiful soft green kohlrabi makes the largest bulb of any variety, up to 10 inches across, and weighing up to 10lb! Yet the flesh is tender and never gets fibrous. Leaves sweeten like a tender kale after a few hard frosts in the fall and stems likewise become as delicious as their broccoli counterparts.
You get a tender globe of goodness that can usually be eaten just raw in french fry sized chunks. The kohlrabi is so sweet and tender and adds a wonderful crunch to the dish. Wonderful in soups, stews, mashed, slaws, salads, casseroles, stir fry and stuffed.
Requires a very rich soil, cool temperatures and plenty of space. Container suitable.
