Spectacular display! Stunning shrub species that can form a lovely small multi branched tree at maturity. Dark green bracts slowly expand, become a beautiful creamy white that sometimes fades to deep pink. Mute red berries look like raspberry gumballs and are indeed edible and sometimes used to make wine. Gorgeous scarlet autumn foliage. Drought tolerant when established. Suitable for containers and bonsai. Zone 5-8.
Germination is long-winded.
