Quintal is an ancient heirloom vegetable Cabbage that was being grown in France and Germany by the 1850s. This hardy and highly productive variety produces very large, slightly flattened, firm heads in the late season.
Its smooth leaves, varying from light green to ashen, are highly prized. The blue-green leaves are rich in nutrients and are delicious raw or cooked. It has a short stem and solid head. It is meant for storage and use over the winter.
