100 Seeds w/Instructions
The hard to find red veined Sorrel is not typically found in grocery stores but a must-have for your vegetable patch. The leaf is medium dark green with bright red veins and highly ornamental. An amazing green front with that intense tart, lemony flavor. Velvet like and crisp. Use as a tangy addition to a salad or as a garnish alone. Great pureed over fish. Also makes a striking counter point on the top of a fruit infused cocktail.
The plant is a showy hardy perennial but may be treated as an annual depending on your location. Seeds should be planted mid-spring. In the fall you can cut the plants down to the crown and they will come back up the following year. Pick while young. 30-50 days.
