Pepperoncini are a type of mild, yellow-green chili pepper. Pepperoncini is said to be the best pickling pepper available. In Italy, this pepper is known as “pepperone.” and common in Greek and Eastern European cuisines.
A bushy variety that growing to a height of about 3 feet. The peppers are tapered, wrinkled along their length and lobed at the ends. Usually harvested at 2-3-inches long, while they are still sweet and yellow-green. When allowed to mature, the peppers turn bright red and grow stronger in flavor.
