The pods produced are narrow and twisted like a caterpillar rolled upon itself, and these densely-haired pods may be added to salads for interest of the unsuspecting on the food table, young seedpods are edible raw or cooked. Contains Phytoalexins which may have medicinal benefits. It makes an interesting ground cover, delights children, and is sure to be a conversation piece.
