Tender annual open pollinated, Heirloom. As the name represents, when this flower blooms it looks like an elephant’s trunk is pointing towards the sky. This deep red flower is large and can be 10–12" long on a 3–5' tall plant and make excellent cut flowers. These flowers retain some color when dried, making then good for dried flower arrangements! The seeds are edible and can be popped, cooked like a grain or ground into flour and the young leaves are nutritious greens.
Some folks might perceive the one-fingered salute in this plant. A plant with character if there ever was one. All zones.
