Rare specimen shrub or small tree with attractive foliage that is often used in flower arrangements. Native to New South Wales Australia, Eucalyptus pulverulenta now on the endangered list, grows to a maximum of 30' feet. Rounded glaucous blue-green aromatic heart shaped leaves are crowded along the stems, turban shaped flower buds in groups of 3 in the leaf axils opening to prolific cream flowers in spring. The smooth stems are grey/green with patches of yellow and copper appearing as the bark flakes.
It is extensively used by floral industry for fresh and dried arrangements, and also often used for bronchial ailments
Prefers a light to medium acid soil in an open sunny position, drought and frost resistant. It can tolerate temperatures down to 6 to 13F before it freezes to the ground.
