Karifurore is a cauliflower and broccoli hybrid that chefs value for the aesthetic appeal and sweet nut-like taste (hybrid cross - no GMO).
It is a unique variety of cauliflower characterized by its white, flower buds that do not close tightly like a regular cauliflower. Its leaves are smaller and the flower stalk is long, thin, and a vibrant green. The contrast between the white flower and the green stalk is beautiful, giving the Karifurore cauliflower the look of a flower. The green stalk is actually more flavorful than the white flower; it is also sweeter than commonly known cauliflower.
When a bunch of Karifurore cauliflower is open slightly like a flower, it is ready to be harvested. It can be eaten raw, gently steamed, flash fried, or pan-seared. When cooked the stems turn to a brighter shade of green. Karifurore boasts a slightly softer texture, and sweeter flavor becoming a quick addition to almost any dish. When refrigerated, it can be stored for up to a week. 60 Days
