This evergreen shrub is native to Africa, and definitely a showstopper with its bright yellow showy flowers contrasting with its striking black buds. The scent is most appealing when the plant is in bloom between late summer and early fall. But humans aren’t the only ones who enjoy this plant; the scent and the bright flowers attract birds, bees and butterflies. 6 -10’ Ft tall. Prune to maintain shape. Great for containers. Zone 9+.
