Named for the 3-pronged, claw-like tendrils that are capable of grasping almost any surface, Cat’s Claw Vine can easily scramble up most walls without the aid of a support system. Early spring brings a short but intense flush of brilliant yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers that are quite large and showy. Very drought tolerant. Cat's Claw Trumpet Vine is a vigorous climber, so it's best used where it can spread freely along a fence or arbor. It can also be useful on large slopes as a ground cover for erosion control. Does well in a container. Perennial zone 9+
