In the carrot family, this very unusual hardy perennial bears astoundingly long-lasting white umbels, as big as saucers. A fantastic, bizarre plant producing a short, thick, branching stem with lovely silvery, bluish-green fern like leaves. The flowers are usually white but may well have a pink tinge. It comes from the Mediterranean, which means it needs full sun and excellent drainage. Though it can withstand the cold, it hates having its roots locked in wet soil all winter. Grows 1'-2' feet tall. Hardy to zone 5.
A mesmerizing focal point for specimen plants, border planting or twilight gardens, Moon Carrot favors well drained soil, makes an exquisite cut flower.
