The very prolific sweet Banana pepper is excellent for frying, stuffing, pickling and even eating fresh off the plant. The peppers begin green, pass through a yellow stage and then turn red when fully ripe. They are 5-8 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide at maturity. Usually picked and pickled in the yellow stage, it holds its color and flavor well. Bronze Medal winner for 1941 and still extremely popular. 64 days.
