The beautiful moon vine is a vigorous heirloom twining vine that is very fast growing. It is a tender tropical perennial but can be used as an annual vine in colder areas. As a close relative of the morning glory, it has similar heart shaped leaves that are a rich green and 4-8 inches long and features fragrant white, very large 6" Inch flowers that open from sundown to sun-up, midsummer to early autumn.
A fence, arbor, or gazebo are ideal for showcasing the moon vine and keeping them near the ground where their beauty and fragrance can be enjoyed. Apartment dwellers might want to try moon vine in a container provided their balcony is not too windy.
