'Barlow Black' columbine looks like a miniature purple-black dahlia with distinctive spurred petals and ferny, green foliage. This cultivar blooms from late spring to early summer and offers a wealth of striking flowers in sun or shade. Makes a nice (and unusual) cut flower. Perennial, Zone 3-9.
