This exotic mexican native plant has pendant tubular deep maroon flowers, on red-purple calyces and heart-shaped leaves it is a fast-growing, tender herbaceous climber but is equally attractive in hanging baskets. The flowers are very attractive to beneficial insects too!
It has to be kept frost free, but can also be grown as an annual because seedling plants start to flower very early after they reach only about 8” stem length.
