This variety of primula has has very striking shade of rose pink and flowers in spring - early summer. Perfect for the cottage garden border (as long as it is placed in moist soil) Rosea has more of the characteristics of the traditional primrose or primula though also flowers on the top of long stems. Primula's love being moist, making them the ideal companion to marginal plants around the ponds edge. They are happy in full sun or semi-shade but need moist soil. Additionally they are good as cut flowers and look wonderful in a semi-shaded woodland area or shady border. Perennial marginal.
