Native to the Mediterranean region Convolvulus tricolor minor (Dwarf Morning Glory) is a particularly attractive annual or short-lived perennial. It bears profuse flared trumpets, 1-2 in. across (5 cm), with a golden-yellow center ringed in white and surrounded by royal blue petals.
Blooming in succession for weeks from early summer into fall, the flowers remain open one day where they will be attentively visited by hummingbirds and butterflies. Convolvulus is a low-growing bushy plant with narrow, lance-shaped, mid-green leaves. Excellent container plant and great choice for Fairy or Miniature gardens.
