Spectacular, extremely fragrant, upward facing 5-6 inch double and triple ruffled blooms are swirled in rich purple and lavender. Rapid growing plants in full sun or partial shade. The well-branched plants with striking black stems can reach up to 5 feet tall in areas with warm nights, in cooler areas they top out at about 2 feet. Blooms from midsummer until frost. Perfect for containers and indoors. Datura is a perennial in zones 9 and warmer and usually lives about 4 or 5 years under good conditions. Grow as an annual in colder zones.
Attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds and sphinx moths.
