This shrub produces long silvery green leaves and conical shaped purple flowers. The flowers can be quite massive heads made up of teeny flowers that attract many Hummingbirds, Bees, Butterflies.
The plant is from the Madeira & Canary Islands and as a biennial showing little more than leaf in the first year, but subsequently produces a dense, 6-10 ft high (potentially) flower spike that carries a dense mass of leaves and small blue flowers. Attracts masses of bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Zone 8+.
