Tortoises need pesticide- and herbicide-free forage for grazing. Tortoises eat so little that it is possible to grow everything they need in a small garden. To make sure that the greens do not have insecticide or pesticide residue on them, grow your own.
These easy to grow varieties are suitable for most Land Tortoises (especially Russians, Greeks, Hermanns, etc or those species that just don't care for grasses) and vegetable eating Lizards.
A blend of Butter Lettuce, Leafy Silver Beet (Chard), Wild Plantain (Plantago), Tatsoi (Green Leaf Cabbage) seeds, with a dash of red clover seeds.
