Cotinus Coggygria is a multiple-branching shrub native from Southern Europe across to China. It grows to 10 - 20 ft tall with an open, spreading, habit, but can be pruned to a smaller version and trained into a small tree.
It is an exceptionally handsome, rich flowering Cotinus that produces an unique atmosphere in the garden, in containers, on the balcony and the terrace. This plant has roundish green leaves that colour yellow-red in autumn; the flowers are numerous, produced in large inflorescences in white to creamy pink feathery plumes. This gives the plant a wispy 'smoke-like' appearance, hence the common name. Hardy to 5F (-15 C)
