25 seeds w/Instructions - Perishable! Untreated organic seeds (moist wrapped). Dry papaya seeds seldom germinate.
The papaya (melon tree) is a tree-like plant, with a single stem and spirally arranged leaves confined to the top of the trunk.
While papaya's look much like a tree, they are not, and do not develop bark characteristic of trees. It is a very fast growing, perennial herb. The leaves are large and deeply lobed. The flowers are similar in shape to the flowers of the Plumeria, but are much smaller, wax-like and, yes, edible. Flowers, leaves, fruit and seeds have many medicinal properties. The fruit can set as early as in 14 months and develop on the trunk. Because it grows so quickly, it can provide a tropical look in your garden within the same year of planting. They are easily killed by freezing but can be kept as a container plant and exotic house plant.
Great for eating fresh, to make sauces and spreads, fresh tropical decoration or as a culinary treat for your pet Lizards and tropical birds.
