Hibiscus tea is a herbal tea made as an infusion from crimson or deep magenta-colored sepals of the Roselle Hibiscus (H. sabdariffa) flower. It is consumed both hot and cold.
The flowers have a tart, cranberry-like flavor and are rich in nutrients including flavonoids, minerals, and vitamin C. Consuming hibiscus tea has been shown to aid in lowering high blood pressure and reducing cholesterol.
Greatly refreshing and uplifting, yet naturally caffeine free.
Use it by itself or as a blend ingredient to enhance the flavor of an unflavored hot or iced tea or as an herbal infusion in marinades, salad dressings, baked goods or desserts.
2 Oz (60 Gram) packed in a food compliant Kraft paper bag (see #3 Picture). Makes about 25 cups of tea. As a general rule, use one level teaspoon or 2 grams for every cup (8 oz). !!! Consult your health care provider before beginning use of any herb. We have also seeds available of this plant.
