The 'Opalka’ Tomato plant produces 3" by 6" red paste tomatoes on vigorous vines. Considered one of the best 'paste' tomatoes available today, they are meaty, deliciously sweet and have very few seeds. Clusters of 3-5 fruits hold well on the vine. This heirloom variety hails from Poland, but was brought to New York around 1900. Opalka is a customer favorite all around the world, prized for making tomato sauces and salsas.
