Greeks used straw flowers mixed with honey to soothe burns and in the Victorian era ladies would decorate their homes with lovely arrangements. The lovely 1 1/2" - 3" inch red, yellow, orange, pink, white or purple colors make them ideal for beautiful, colorful arrangements. The blooms open slowly from fat colorful buds. The erect stems are furnished with narrow grey-green leaves.
Prefers well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun. The plant is attractive to bees and butterflies and makes a great cut flower. All Zones.
