The blue Pimpernel is a low growing, branching perennial that can be grown as an annual. From summer until the first frost it has electric blue flowers with pink centers.
The flowers open when the sun is shinning, that is why it is often times called the weather plant or weather flower. Because of its abundant flowers and tidy growth, this plant grows well in containers, in rock or fairy and miniature gardens, Zone 9+. It is also grown as an annual in cooler climates and spreads to about 12" and gets about 6" tall.
