Flying Dragon's thorns are long and curved, plant is small (up to 6'). Extremely ornamental with corkscrew growth habit. A show-stopper, especially with it's display of orange fruit in the fall! No insect or disease problems. Fruits are highly aromatic. Fruits are inferior to lemons, being seedy, resin-like. Not to be eaten whole fresh but great for citrus-ade or candied. Considering the incredible thorns probably good for home protection.
Will take below zero temperatures planted in the ground, so it is the hardiest of citrus along with the straight thorn Poncirus. Can be made into a prize-winning bonsai. Space 7' circle Height 6'. Zones 6-9.
