Veronicastrum virginicum is a stately specimen plant prized for its well-defined, clean lines. Elegant spires of white flowers crown the whorls of deep green leaves.
Its 3 to 6' feet high stems are clothed in whorls of narrow, dark green leaves and are tipped by spires of small, white, hermaphroditic flowers with a sometimes pink tip, that will attract masses of pollinating insects such as honey bees and butterflies.
Creates a unique vertical accent, and can be combined with other white flowers to create 'white gardens' and Moon Gardens.
Plant prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soils. It tolerates most pH of soil and also occasional waterlogged soils and requires very little maintenance. Perennial Zone 4-9
