Tree-like perennial morning glory species, Pink flowers, with a darker more purplish throat, 2 to 3.5 inches long (5-9 cm), up to 4.4 inches in diameter (11 cm).
The stem is thick and develops into a solid trunk over several years with many branches from base; the leaves are light green, heart shaped or somewhat lanceolate and 6-8 Inches long; the flowers are deep pink and funnel shaped.
A Tropical of South America, it is adaptable to most soils and positions and is drought resistant, but frost tender. Can be trimmed back in fall and covered for return in spring. Container suitable.
