35 fresh Seeds w/Instructions
Grow your own exotic Kiwi -- easily! This fruit is famous for its rich, tangy flavor, something of a combination of strawberry and pineapple. It's very high in Vitamin C, and the plants are very well-adapted to U.S. climates, with no major pests or diseases.
Actinidia deliciosa is a deciduous Climber growing to 25 ft. It is hardy to zone 7 and is not frost tender. It is in flower from May to June, and the fruit ripen from Oct to December. The flowers are dioecious (individual flowers are either male or female, but only one sex is to be found on any one plant so both male and female plants must be grown). Seeds are plenty for both. Kiwi is pollinated by Bees.
The plant prefers light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It requires moist soil.
Hardiness: 10-15F.
